Mollie lives in Cornwall with her parents and 2 older siblings. We just received a SYNGAP1 diagnosis in July 2019 after 6 years of genetic tests!

She was about 3 1/2 when diagnosed with epilepsy,  but in hindsight I think she was always having absence seizures.  Mollie's seizures are still not under control. Her medication is not suiting her. Her seizures have become drop seizures of late. We are waiting to meet neurology team, to discuss other non medication options in hope of gaining some seizure control. No access to medicinal cannibis here sadly.

Mollie is a loving, caring, determined, fun girl, with a great sense of humour!  She loves swimming, horse riding, gymnastics, music, animals (especially chickens and dogs) and her iPad!  Mollie can get easily overwhelmed and frustrated.  She doesn't cope well with change or  transitions.  This is our biggest challenge to living life! She has a big  heart and we love her so much!
