Olivia

Olivia had normal developmental milestones through her 2nd birthday.

She was diagnosed with Epilespy at 2 years of age. Then after years of searching, at the age of 6, she was diagnosed with Syngap1 in April of 2017. Olivia has absence seizures that have been controlled with Depakote, Lamictal, and Epidiolex.

Olivia loves horses, playing in the snow, and any water activities. Her favorite video game is Roblox. Olivia’s favorite food is salami, cheese, and cakes. She’s very attached to her parents, especially to mommy. Livi has an older brother Niko, who she looks up to greatly.

Olivia has a speech delay but has a vocabulary of 500 words and more. She is able to put 4-5 words together. Olivia receives ABA therapy at home. At school she receives speech, physical, and occupational therapy.

Olivia has changed our lives so much. We look up to her strength and willfulness. Our family is grateful to have been introduced to the supportive Syngap1 community”
